Dark, eerie with a perfect little topstitch... The Prada Resort 2015 campaign launches with a intriguing and tastefully eerie black and white short film featuring Adrienne Juglier, Ine Neefs and Moya Mardy. Steven Meisel is again behind the lens and shoots his subjects out in the overgrown grounds of the renowned Yonkers New York estate, Alder Manor. The clothes are again a testament to the smart and innovative Mrs. Prada prominently featuring decorative and almost architectural stitching bringing a distinctive sharpness and flair to the collection that will surely see itself much imitated. Music by Murcof adds to the bewildering feeling of the autumn excursion up along the Hudson. Worth a splurge ladies…

Nike, Lourenço & Karlie... Nike, via its more progressive NikeLab concept label, teams up with Brazilian designer Pedro Lourenço to present a new women’s training collection. Designed to transition from workout to everyday wear, the 11-piece capsule represents a play on proportions and layering and includes three looks and two footwear options. Throughout the collection, Lourenço employs materials that perform at the gym, with a fashion-forward softness and femininity. For the designer, the collaboration was an opportunity to explore new design opportunities while still staying true to the aesthetic of his eponymous label, which often pairs innovative fabrics with dynamic, fluid shapes. Adding to the collection’s fashion cred, Nike enlists model Karlie Kloss, who also happens to be an avid athlete and classically trained ballet dancer. A perfect pairing for Nike and we’re pretty certain the fashion designer and sports apparel romance will continue to flourish. Now, get to the gym…
