The cool factor

Jack & Jones Premium | Made from Cool. In the newest advertising campaign for FW 2013/14, Danish clothier Jack & Jones capitalizes on Christopher Walken’s cool (and creepy) image and his ability to inhabit eccentric roles. In a series of five spots, Walken plays a unique tailor, one who works silently and magically sheers sheep without scissors, folds a shirt without blinking an eye and wills fabrics into nifty patterns. We like the highly stylized, intense ads, but it’s hard to say if they get the “Made from cool” point across. Seems less likely that we’ll shop Jack & Jones and more likely that we’ll have nightmares about our frightening tailor. Maybe the ads just need more cowbell… Unfortunately, Jack & Jones has blocked their other four ads in all English-speaking countries. : (
