Serious whimsy
After a month long, logo-a-day experiment, Yahoo has finally settled on its new logo. Yet another move for Marissa Meyer to cement her new role as CEO. Meyer states the logo is, “whimsical, yet sophisticated. Modern and Fresh, with a nod to our history. Having a human touch, personal. Proud.” The 30-day trial run provided interesting insight into the creation of a logo that embodies the company’s transformation while still maintaining the familiarity of the old site.
