Challenge

A large investment management division of a Fortune 1000 financial services conglomerate rebranded and needed to develop an extensive image library for marketing and sales support efforts. The new resource required extensive options provided in templated sizes and formats conforming to new typographic and brand standards.

Solution

A project manager, brand specialist and designer reviewed the client’s special needs and assessed present and future image requirements. Next, they engaged with the client, defining specific image categories. For each category, a unique set of image options was developed ranging from more general use to more targeted applications. A standardized template including new typographic standards was also developed. Production and delivery of the new image deliverables was completed in less than 30 days, creating the new critical resource for a diverse user base. Updates were later provided based on evolving needs and defined modifications to existing categories.

Results

The new image library (375 images at launch) was resoundingly successful, reducing stock photography costs by over 50% annually, as well as time-consuming image searches while markedly increasing the quality and consistency of brand imagery employed.
